ConvertOut tracks the money side and leaves the actual payment to you — so you can pay however you like.
Once an ambassador passes the minimum payout amount you set in Settings, they can request a payout. The request shows up in your Payouts tab as pending and you'll get an email about it. Pay the ambassador outside the app, then click Mark as completed to record it.
There are no automatic payments. Nothing leaves your account without you sending it.
Ambassadors are asked for one piece of payment information in the portal, and you decide what that is. The prompt says "Enter your PayPal email" by default, and you can rewrite it in Settings — for example, "Enter your email for your gift card" if you pay in gift cards.
